Student Application
All children eligible to attend NYC Public Schools are eligible to attend Mott Haven Academy Charter School. Children must turn 5 by December 31st of their Kindergarten year to be eligible for Kindergarten.
While this school is open all students, it is specifically designed to meet the needs of at-risk students who are currently served by the child welfare system. Our lottery system, in compliance with the NY State Charter School Law, allows us to give our target population lottery preference while still creating opportunities for the entire Mott Haven community.
Applications are being accepted for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade.
Annually, applications for the NEXT school year will be available on January 1 and due April 1. If we receive more applications than the number of seats available, students may be placed on a "waitlist."
To apply, all you need to do is fill out an application. There is NO application fee.
